RiverHawks Finish 7th in Jacksonville

JACKONSVILLE, FLA. - Northeastern State women's golf team placed seventh in an
eight team field at the Chris Banister Classic hosted by Jacksonville State University.
The RiverHawks  finished the three-day tournament  at Silver Lakes on the 
Robert Trent Jones Trail Golf Club with a 956 team total.
Northeastern had rounds of 319-329-308 for the 956 total. Lamar University took
the team title with a 904 after rounds of 303-293 and 308. Host Jacksonville State placed second at 908 followed by University of Louisiana Monroe at 911.
RiverHawks senior Katie Miller led Northeastern State with a 15-over  par 231  for the 54-hole tournament to finish 13th on the par 72 course.
Miller fired rounds of 78, 76 and 77 for her 231 total.
Following Miller was  Whitney McAteer (80-87-76-243), Liz Cagle (83-84-77-244),
Shaunda Petree (81-85-78-244) and Paola Torres (80-84-87-251).
Louisiana-Monroe's Angela Drane took medalist honors with a 1-under par 215 with rounds of 74, 69 and 72.
