LSC Men's Tournament Field Set

RICHARDSON, Texas --- The Lone Star Conference Men's Tournament field has been set for Bartlesville High School's Bruin Field House beginning March 3-6.

Northeastern State (19-8, 10-2) the North Division's No. 2 seed will play the South Division's No. 3 seed Angelo State (17-10, 8-4) at noon Wednesday. The RiverHawks and Rams played in December at Angelo, Texas, with the Rams winning 67-52.

Midwestern State the South Division champion at 10-2 and 25-2 overall, will battle the North's No. 4 seed Southwestern State (12-15, 6-6) at 2:30 p.m.

Tarleton State (21-6, 9-3) the South's No. 2 seed will take on the North's No. 3 seed Texas A&M-Commerce (19-8, 8-4) at 6 p.m.

The final game of the quarterfinal session on Wednesday will feature Central Oklahoma, the North Division champion at 11-1 and 22-5 overall against the South Division's No. 4 seed West Texas A&M (15-12, 6-6) at 8:30 p.m.

Friday's semifinal action will begin at 6 p.m. with the winner of the Northeastern State/Angelo State game playing the winner between Midwestern State/Southwestern State.

The second semifinal game which will be played at 8:30 p.m. and will involve the winner between Tarleton State/Texas A&M-Commerce and Central Oklahoma/West Texas A&M.

The championship game will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 6.

The winner of the LSC Tournament receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Regional Tournament at a site yet to be determined.
