Joe Kok Named to Gazette All-American Team

 Northeastern State University's Joe Kok , 6-2 senior from Broken Arrow, has been named to the second team NCAA Division II Football Gazette All-American team it was announced Monday.

Kok, who averaged 42.3 yards on 71 punts his senior year, ranked No. 2 in the nation In NCAA Division II punting statistics. His longest punt was 56 yards and he had 13 punts of over 50 yards. Kok had 23 punts inside the 20-yard line and did not have a punt blocked during the 2009 season.

Kok has also garnered All-Lone Star Conference North Division honors in each of his four seasons with the RiverHawks.

Kok's punting prowess earned him national attention by being named a Consensus Draft Services Honorable Mention Pre-Season All-America selection entering his senior season. Kok ranked 9th in NCAA Division II in 2008, averaging 41.7 yards per punt.

Kok was also selected to the NCAA Division II All-Super Region Region Four Football Gazette team last month.
