Woods split time as the starting quarterback in his first season with the RiverHawks during the 2008 campaign.  He appeared in all 11 games with six starts.  Woods broke three school records against East Central in 2008.  He set the mark for yards passing in a game with 425, touchdowns thrown in a game with five and total offense in a game with 425.  He finished the season completing 101 of 192 passes for 1207 yards and seven touchdowns.

Woods is a transfer from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M where he played two seasons. 

He eclipsed his own passing record as a prep senior for the Wardogs, he tallied 2552 yards and 29 touchdowns.  Woods was an All-Star by class, a Ford Award Nominee and selected to the All-Area team.  He is a Social Studies major with an emphasis on teaching and pursuing a minor in Spanish.
