Evans followed up a fantastic freshman campaign with a stellar sophomore season.  He collected 71 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss for 32 yards, one interception and forced a fumble.  Evans was a Lone Star Conference North Division Honorable Mention selection in 2008.

As a freshman, Evans was third on the team with 80 tackles and two fumble recoveries.  His play earned him the Lone Star Conference Freshman of the Year and LSC North Honorable Mention accolades. 

A two-time Defensive Player of the Year at CHS, Evans led the Lions to a state championship and collected All-State accolades as a prep senior.  He is a business major.
