After a three-year absence, Cherry returns for his second stint with the RiverHawks.  After a redshirt year in 2004, he appeared in six games in 2005 and will to shake off the rust and compete for a starting position in 2009. 

Cherry was a two-way starter for the Chargers, a First Team Tulsa World All-State, OCA All-Star and Jim Thorp All-Star selection as a prep senior. 

Cherry is a health and human performance major.
