Martin had a solid season for the RiverHawks in 2008. Primarily used as a blocking back, he caught six passes for 102 yards and a touchdown.  He appeared in 10 games with five starts. Martin appeared in two games for the RiverHawks in 2007. 

A highly decorated athlete out of high school, Martin was the District 2A-7 Newcomer of the Year, Offensive Back of the Year and Player of the Year during his career for the Hornets.

He is an education major with emphasis on physical education.
